Admission Guidelines: General: Admission to B.A., B.Com. & M.A/M.Sc.(Geography) courses shall be given as per the rules & regulation of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur & Govt. Students who have passed H.S.C. examination in Arts or Commerce stream shall be admitted to B.A. Part I & B.Com Part I classes respectively. Students who have passed H.S.C. examination from Science faculty can seek admission to B.A. Part I. Also, students who have passed D.Ed. with English as one of her subjects can seek admission to B.A. Part I. Arts graduate with special Geography at B.A. Part III can seek admission to M.A. Part I. Intake capacity for M.A. (Geography) is 20. There will be separate admission committee for each course. The Principal reserves the right to amend/ modify the admission process as & when amendments/modifications are received from the University, Management or the Govt. Parents/students are requested to go through the announcements & instructions displayed on the notice board as well as Broucher/website before seeking admission to the college.
Instructions:
Rules and regulations regarding admission to all classes will be displayed on the notice board. Admissions shall be given on the basis of merit & as per the rules & regulations of the Govt. & Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Fee structure for each course is mentioned in the Prospectus/website. Students can enroll for B. A. & B.Com. II, III courses after the declaration of their I yr. results. However they are required to take provisional admission for the said courses & attend their classes from commencement of the term. Time-Table of the respective classes will be displayed on the Notice Board. Information and Time-Table of ‘Skill Development Course’ and ‘Career Oriented Courses’ will be displayed on the Notice Board. For confirmation of their admission, students should submit their duly filled-in provisional admission-form to the concerned admission committee & keep a photocopy of the same. Students willing to cancel their admission in the first semester must give an application along with a full fee charged for the first semester. Students willing to cancel their admission in the second semester must give an application along with a full fee charged for the first & second semester. Students can procure Caution Money after completing their college education only if they apply for it & collect it within six months. If not collected, the Caution Money shall be transferred to the College Fund. Students shall pay an extra fees if the Govt. of Maharashtra increases the same.
Eligibility:
B.A. Part I : Students who have passed H.S.C. or D.Ed. Course or any other equivalent examination.
B.A. Part II : i) Students who have passed the previous University Examination (B.A. I) or have got A.T.K.T. ii) Students who have passed B.Sc. or B.Com. can directly seek admission to the course.
B.A. Part III : Students who have passed the previous University Examination (B.A. II) or have got A.T.K.T.
B.Com Part I : i) Students who have passed H.S.C. examination in Commerce or any other equivalent examination. ii) Students who have done B.A. or B.Sc. from any other University approved by Shivaji University can directly seek admission to B.Com I & are given special consideration in the selection of some subjects. iii) Students who have passed H.S.C. examination in Arts or Science.
B.Com Part II :
i) Students who have passed the previous University Examination (B.Com I) or any other equivalent examination. ii) Students who have done B.A. major in Economics can directly seek admission for B.Com II & are given special consideration in the selection of some subjects.
B.Com Part III :
Students who have passed the previous University Examination (B.Com II) or any other equivalent examination or have got A.T.K.T.
M.A. Part I (Geography): Students who have passed B.A. III major in Geography also the PG (Geography) entrance
Documents Required: Duly filled in Admission Form (attached at the end of the prospectus) along with passport size photograph affixed in the space provided. Original & Attested photocopies of the Statements of Marks of the qualifying examination along with Std. X and XII Mark lists. School/College leaving Certificate – Original & an attested photocopy. Duly filled-in University Eligibility Form along with Rs. 75/- only as Eligibility Fee. (Admission for a course shall be finalised only after the Eligibility Form is approved) A Letter of Guarantee regarding the Assurance of 75% attendance for all the subjects opted must be submitted along with the Admission Form. If the Annual Income of the Parent is less than Rs. 1 lac only, students should submit duly filled-in E.B.C. form signed by appropriate authority Students from other universities should submit Migration Certificate to the office. The Migration Certificate can be procured by submitting an application to the previous college. The students can get information regarding the same from the office of the college. Students cannot change the subjects once selected unless permitted by the Principal.
COURSES: Following courses approved by Shivaji University, Kolhapur are taught in the college: FACULTY of ARTS: B.A. Part I : Choose ANY ONE of the following A / B / C Group:
Note : Each student shall select 6 PAPERS. After 80 admissions, the admission for each group shall be closed. The decision of the Principal shall be final.
B.A. Part II : Compulsory Subjects: English 2. I.D.S. 3. Environmental Science
Optional Subjects : Group A: Marathi / Hindi / English / Geography / Economics (Any One) Group B: Home Science /Psychology /Sociology /Physical Education /Political Science (Any One) Note: i) Students should select ANY ONE subject from the above Group A & Group B. ii) There shall be two papers for each optional subject.
I.D.S.: Logic, Public Administration, History of Social Reforms in Maharashtra (HSRM), Cooperation Note: Students should select ONE of the above I.D.S. subjects & mention it in the admission form. Subject combination for selecting I.D.S. is as follows :
Optional I.D.S. 1. Economics Cooperation 2. Hindi Logic 3. English Logic 4. Marathi HSRM 5. Geography Public Administration
B.A. Part III : Compulsory Subject: English Optional Subjects: ANY ONE subject as a Special Subject from the optional subjects selected at B.A.II Level: Marathi / Hindi / English / Geography / Economics / Psychology

The fees are according to the rules & regulations of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Students have to clear Entrance Test conducted by Shivaji University, Kolhapur to enroll for the course. |
